In the Navy!

Well we are very excited that Aaron was finally accepted and sworn into the Navy! We are so excited and so happy! Last friday Aaron's entire family all swarmed in and his dad was able to swear him in, which was really nice. We had Grandma, Aunt Nett, Nick, Blake & Jessica, Lance & Gayla, and even Janet and Daryl (aunt and uncle) from Utah came to see it. And of course Eric & Jenny and Justin & Carrie and Preston (his wifey was at work) met us at the park for the swearing in. Both Blake & Jessica and Lance & Gayla stayed with us for the weekend so you can understand, i'm sure, of how glad we were to have the bigger apartment.
Aaron was sworn in Saturday morning at Smith park. In fact we did it right when there was a perfect break from the rain (as soon as it was over it just started to pour!). Then everyone came back to our place for some way yummie cupcakes i made (oh dont worry i'll post a pic of them cuz they were way cute little sailor men). one of my new hobbies is cupcake making...i know weird!
Now we are just waiting for all the paper work to get sent to all the right people and processed. The bummer is since we get paid by direct deposit it could take up to two months (but of course we will be back paid!). we are just so excited that Aaron is already set with a job after he graduates (which so many around here arn't) and that in this terrible economy right now we dont have to worry about job security or health insurance or just getting by, its refreshing.
thats about all the excitement for now.

Aj's first tooth

Today was a way exciting day for Aj. His first tooth came in! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be for him. I thought he would cry like crazy and have a wicked high fever and be all snotty. He did fuss a little but really other than that he was just a little droolie. I just think it is so crazy because he isn't even three months old. I even made him promise he would stay a little baby forever and here he goes growing teeth. What is he thinking?
The only bummer is that he is still really little so he really hasn't figured out how to bite down on his teething ring. He'll bite down on my finger (which hurts really bad for me) but nothing else.

Some other exciting news is that Aaron finally got his acceptance letter into the navy. Something else that is kinda exciting was that Aaron was accepted into the supply corps. We originally thought he was going into surface warfare (driving the ship shoot the big guns) but with supply corps. he orders the things the ship (sub, or whatever) needs which means he really wont have to go out to sea that much. We will be more likely to be stationed in other countries which i think will be fun while are kids (well just one kid now) are still young.

The Fair!

well you'll be happy to know that i took all my sorrows and successfully stuffed them deep down inside so that it will be a while before i rant and rave again.

On Tuesday we went to the fair in blackfoot it was way fun. We went with a few friends from the ward and just had a great time. I think Aj really enjoyed it too (well as much as a baby can). Of course there was a lot of food and we stuffed ourselves full of everything deep fried.

They even had a petting zoo with some way cute puppies! It was way nice to get out of the house and spend some time together as a family!

Update on the Navy: it is going to yet again take more time. Aaron had to take a physical test at a recruiting station in IF well the guy giving Aaron his test wrote down the wrong weight (putting that he was 5lbs over weight) well this put a hold on Aarons acceptance letter because it was a different weight then when he was weighed in Butte (yes it is that complicated). So after about five people running around not knowing what to do; they fixed the typo and now claims that there are no more bumps and his letter should go in the mail tomorrow. We'll see about that...Aaron's dad just keeps saying this is how the navy is and i dont know if i am going to be ok with this because it is driving me crazy!

I am very excited to say that we finally moved into our new apartment. it has been way hard and we are still unpacking and i still have to clean the other apartment but it was way worth it! we have so much more space i love it! i also love that it is all on one floor. it is going to take a while for me to get use to having someone live on top of us (we use to live in a town house). but i just keep telling my self (when i can hear them walking our hammering or whatever) that it is way worth it!
