so i am 18 weeks today...and what some crazy weeks it has been. i am sure this baby must be a girl just cuz of all the drama she has caused. from the day we found out we were prego if its not one thing its another. well today i had an ultra sound. i didnt really tell anyone but the results from my blood test showed that our risk of having a baby with down syndrome was much higher then it should be so the dr suggest an ultra to get more info. i am happy to say that the results were good and although the risk is still there it is significantly lower (about 1 in 250). well let me tell you this was just about the most uncooperative baby i have ever seen. i was rolling from side to side and the tec was practically jabbing me in the gut trying to get a good pic of the baby. two of the major things they need to see was the nasal bone and the arm bone (i dont know what its called) but of course this little bugger had her hand either behind her head or covering her face. apparently she is camera shy although she doesnt get that from me! the dr was able to find out the sex but aaron and i decided to wait till we could both be there to find out, so we had her write it down on a paper and seal it up. then on sunday aaron and i are going to open it together. Gayla has been holding it for safe keeping. i tried to convince her to let me peek and i promise i would act just as suprised but she wouldnt budge. UGH! im not good at being patient. i would like to again thank all of you that did know about this impending ultra and all the prayers and fasting that you have given on our behalf. i can promise you that i have felt the love and comfort given by the Lord and by you.
i am hoping for a girl...as im sure all of you know...expesially cuz we only have a girl name picked out but i figure since this is already being a difficult child it will probably be a boy and then we will have to sturggle to pick a boy name. we have had some ideas but nothing has seemed right enough to settle on yet. Ugh i dont think i can make it till sunday!
oh funny story so my belly button (which if you have ever seen it is as deep as a crator) has partially popped out. now i dont mean that it is half as deep, i mean the top half has popped and the bottome half is still sunk in, it looks really weird. i took a pic on my phone to show aaron on sunday and wanted to post it but i couldnt figure out how to get pics from my phone to the computer...im sure you can pic the weirdness though!
Aaron in his blues. i love this uniform. you can kind of see that he has his officer gold strips on his sleeves but they make him duck tape them cuz he isn;t worthy yet to wear them. Did you notice his metal? only two months actually in the navy (even though we have really been in for a year) and he already has a metal...my husband is so heroic. its actually a National Defence metal for joining the navy during a war...so brave! Such a hansome man!!!
So aj has decided that this frog is going to be his comfort toy which is fine and dandy for me. usually he just uses it when he goes to sleep but it has been really starting to turn into a all the time comfort thing for him. i thought i would be good for me to collect as many as i can of them. he is a carter just one year green and yellow plush frog baby lovey (mouthful i know) well we had originally got it as a gift but i had seen them at walmart. of course they dont have them anymore (we got it almost a year and a half ago) so i went online to find one. i found one used on ebay that i am going to get and the only one in the whole entire world is new on amazon for
