About two weeks ago we got in a really bad car accident. We were on our way home from the post office and was stopped at a red light when a drunk driver slammed into the back of us exiting off the freeway. she was going about 45-50mph. we then in turn slammed into the car in front of us. we pretty much got squished like an accordion. It was pretty scary to say the least. Aj got most of the hit from the car and it had moved his seat up and forward about 6ins. I thank Heavenly Father everyday for the invention of car seats cuz i know it saved his life. We are all relatively ok and were able to walk away from the accident (well to the ambulance). Our biggest concerns are Aj and Mia and so far so good. We just know we were infinitely blessed and protected. Sadly though our new xterra did not fair so well...sniff....sniff...it was totaled. the monday after the accident we flew to Ct for christmas and have been working to get all the claims and stuff done with the accident. we did go and buy a new car last tuesday. It is a '10 Jeep Commander...i really like it and so does aaron. we almost got another xterra cuz we loved it so much but we figured having the option of an extra row in the back would be good since we will be shortly upgrading to two car seats!
other then all that Drama!...life has just been going on. Aaron starts school on monday and then we will finally start to settle into a rutine. maybe even give another go at the diaperless potty training...although i think aj has lost interest in his potty...we'll see

Oh my goodness is all I can say. Just thinking about what could have happened to you guys makes me tear up. I am glad you all are ok. I hope everything is going well with your pregnancy. I can't wait to see little Mia. I can't believe that she is only 9 weeks away, wow. good luck with everything.

Oh my goodness! I didn't know you guys were in a accident. I'm so sorry! I hope the claims work out to your benefit. I'm excited to see Mia! Did AJ have any bruises for anything? Poor little guy! We had an ambulance adventure too. Life is crazy isn't it?
Crazy drunks! See, Rexburg is safer! =) just kidding. I'm glad other than the lunatic drinking behind the wheel that you all are doing ok. Jessica had her baby today, which I'm sure you know, but I have been thinking about you all day because of it and how I wish you were here for me to pamper you when little "mia" comes (that's soooo cute by the way) Good luck and if you don't get a hoard of delicious dinners, give me a call, I'm sure I can still arrange something =)
That is so crazy! Glad you guys are alright. :) I've been wondering how our old neighbors have been faring.
